Our History
In 1977 Geoffrey McMonigal, founder of 'McMonigal Valuations NSW' and Valwyn McMonigal accomplished author, writer, and cook of 'The Popular Potato & others bought Unit 1 Snowbird,
Chez Jean in Perisher Valley.
(after renting for a number of years) Valwyn and Geoffrey (Grandma and Grandpa) from the Central Coast, NSW, brought their children Scott, Ann Marie, Deborah, and Adam down skiing each year. The Snowbird unit has turned into our families second home, with Scott, Ann Marie, and Deborah bringing their children skiing each year holding tradition.
Family-operated and owned business.
A Cosy, Beautiful, Family Fun Hoilday!
Snowbird is a cosy, family fun holiday retreat with a beautiful view. Enjoy a morning coffee while watching skiers on the slopes/the kids tobogganing. Alternatively walk down to the 'Man' for dinner and enjoy delicious chicken wings by the warm fire.

A Winter Wonderland
Explore the natural wonders that surround our ski lodge. From the fantastic views, seen in the comfort of our unit to the toboggan track located on the right side of the unit and another hill-track at the front of the unit. Embark on cross-country skiing behind the unit or race down front valley.

Our goal
Our goal is to deliver a cosy, warm, home feeling to your snowy getaway, all the while providing all the necessities and information to make your stay the best it can be.
